TYPE OF PLASTIC WASTE:

Luggage tags
Using the Precious Plastic Technology, Carolina uses the quarantine luggage tags to make ornaments, coasters,  crockery and jewellery.
Carolina Proaño has a shredder to create small pellets out of the luggage tags that are put onto each piece of luggage when transferring between the islands. She then puts the shredded tags into the ejection machine and moulds the plastic into a huge array of different accessories. The possibilities are endless and she is constantly trying out new moulds and designs through which she wants to encourage tourists to leave with the same amount of plastic as they bring onto the islands.
